The bowled in end-zone we've all been waiting for is going to be empty, and it should be. We Cyclone fans are loyal, but no one can watch a dumpster burn forever.

I think you are wrong, at least until the end of next season when it is cold and crappy out. Before that the stands will be full because of tailgating and fans as loyal as Stepford Wives.

Of course, if we lose the opener to UNI the fans may actually tear down the new addition.

Nebraska basketball 'fans' who never watched one of the worst programs in history bought tickets for a new building. I think in year one the SEZ will create buzz even after this train wreck.

Brand new arena with a 2nd year head coach.

Not comperable to a stadium expansion with a 7th year coach coming off of two miserable seasons.

I think you are wrong, unfortunately, it will be UNI/Hawk fans that buy up those tickets at a discount price. Throw in the Texas fans.

I'm not saying attendance is going to boom but if neb can sell a new building with no fans ever and no winning ever ISU can sell the SEZ.

Suggesting spending on SEZ was a bad idea is meth head iowa fan territory.

JP and CPR are great salesmen. The stadium will be full for most of the games next year whether you want to believe it or not

I used to think this was good...now we are going to have another 2-10 or 3-9 type season in 2015 because some fans think locker room speeches and beating Iowa is good enough.

Doesn't the south endzone have access to inside and booze? I would say that they sell out and the sides are empty. Going to need to lots of booze to watch Cpr 1 more year

They're also predicted to finish top 5 in the B1G.

They sold out the building before becoming competitive. They have never had a successful basketball season, EVER.

Some here may not like to hear it but it's possible JP could still sell the hype of SEZ next year without a coaching change.

If ISU losses out this season it will take a huge selling job to come close to the tickets sold this season. Weren't season tickets down about 10% from last season and that was with winning the last two games. ISU losses out I would guess a15-20% drop next season.

Explain what losses out means...

Not quite true.

Nebraska averaged nearly 11,000 fans for their Big 10 games under coach Miles in his first year (the last year at the Devaney center). They went .500 or better in every season they played in that arena, so it's not much of a stretch to fill a few thousand more seats in a brand new arena with a 2nd year head coach who had the team headed in the right direction.

Stop trying to correlate Nebraska basketball with ISU football please.

I bet the first couple games next year are packed and sold out. After that, who knows.

This. UNI and Iowa will be packed and I bet we get Texas as our first Big 12 home game and that game will be a full house too. There will be a lot of buzz around the new addition to the stadium and people will want to see the new SEZ.

Now when we're probably a 2-8 or 3-7 team in November and the weather sucks, Trice will be a ghost town

Neb basketball has been even more ridiculously bad than ISU football. It would be like ISU still having zero bowl wins.

19 wins and a blowout first round loss to Baylor? They sucked last year, they have never been good.

A certain type of fan will come to check out the new stadium. It won't last if the team never wins and our lynch mob may not like it, but it's true.

We see people saying this crap but I don't know of ANY fans that have said it or actually believe it.
