I want to know what happened the EXACT moment that he decided wow, "I can stuff this animal and make it into a drone. THAT would be cool!!"

and what did his friend say when the builder told him about it????

Hey, nothing wrong with recycling your pets. Never saw it but I had a High School music teacher claimed she had her Fox Terrier made into a lamp after it died.

So it is okay to decorate the house with taxidermy but as soon as you put a motor on it you have crossed the line? I just want to make sure I understand the rules.

It is kind of weird but not that much weirder than stuffing any recently living creature for home decoration.

The only line he's crossing is the line between being blase and being totally awesome.
