Drunk U of I student loses fingers and toes to frostbite

A good friend of mine at EIU (yes, it's possible) said the rumor around campus is that he was urinating in the alley when he passed out and...well....it might not be just fingers and toes.
Hope it's just a bad rumor. Would really put a damper on Valentine's Day if true.

Or better yet, know your limit. I would hate to lose a lifetime for 2 hours of drunken debauchery.
This could easily happen at any college campus in the country... At least in the north...
Didn't we just have an unfortunate incident recently? It can happen anywhere. It's just a sad, sad story.
I heard about something like this from a friend of mine who knows this family, unless a similar incident happened elsewhere, which is possible. It really could happen anywhere where there is drinking and cold.
Devastating to families...if this is who I think it is, their family is wondering where they went wrong, but unfortunately no matter how you raise your kids, they could make a poor choice like this.

Drunk student murders elderly man in his own apartment. Apparently the kid thought he was in HIS apartment and the elderly man was an intruder. Not gonna hold up in court, since he was smashed and called his friends about the incident, but goes to show what happens when you're drunk beyond oblivion.
And not to be the downer here, but it wasn't even a year ago that a student here at ISU died in Lake LaVerne. Thankfully for this kid from EIU, he was a bit more fortunate.
