I would have to go back to Steel in 2012.... As the year went on the roller coaster of confidence changed......When is the last time we were this confident and optimistic at the QB position going into week one?

I disagree, plus he lit up Iowa in 2011 in the Overtime game, the opener in 2012 was against Tulsa at home and I can honestly say I was confident in what he was going to bring.... AGain after that, it was a roller coaster of a yearI don't think anyone had any confidence in Steel until after he lit up Iowa. Even then I think he had a least a couple WTF turnovers to keep the game close.

I agree the confidence behind Park is comparable to Senace, or Sage. But I think some others get overlooked when situational we probably had decent confidence going into an opener.Okay, I stand corrected, but still, we all knew by the end of 2011 that Steel was either great or horrible. There was no just good with him. Still feel like he could have been a very good QB with a redshirt year and better coaching. The guy just had so many crazy TOs. Just running around the backfield he would drop the ball. I don't see Park as being quite that careless, or pressing that hard to make something out of nothing.
