Maybe I'm just easily annoyed but sometimes just the littlest things upset me.

Here is an example;

Last Friday night I'm having a cold one at Tim's Time Out in Grimes (great old-school bar BTW) and this young guy walks in and orders a Corona. This is just my opinion but Corona has to be one of the worst beers ever made and I believe they charge $1.00 more per bottle at Tim's. At this point I just think to myself "he must not know any better" and turn away. A few seconds later this guy walks by and he has his thumb over the hole and has the beer upside down. He holds it upside down for about 2 minutes. In the next 2-3 hours I see this guy do the same thing everytime he goes up and gets a beer.

Am I missing something? Is there something about tipping a Corona upside down that makes it taste better?

I am slow to boil, but people being late for appointments or meetings that I am involved with really, really, really irritate me. Always have, since I pride myself in being on time (which means early).

Also, slow moving traffic gets under my skin. Which makes me work on serenity now as I am leaving the Lutheran Church of Hope parking lot.

So you judge a person based on the type of beer they like?

And no, I've never heard of doing such with a Corona. I wonder if it has something to do with the lime being put in it and distributing that flavor around the beer.

when you put the lime in and tip it over, the lime juice gets spread throughout the beer.

He was probably putting a lime in it.

I did this one time in public and then proceeded to drop my beer. Oops. I don't know if it tastes any better but I do it just to make my wife mad.

This is exactly right and the appropriate thing to do. Man the original poster is really out of touch here.

Bartender's usually put a lime in the top. The person who gets it usually pushes it down the neck of the bottle, and flips it over so the lime goes to the bottom of the bottle, rather than block the flow of the beer through the neck. Corona isn't my drink of choice either.

Honestly, this thread is proof we live in a great country. Somebody goes out of their way to post about how annoying it is that somebody ordered a Corona and tipped it upside down.

God bless America.

Sometimes your beer will blow out the top if you tip it too fast. Saw it happen to a guy on new years. =)

It always annoys me when people don't know the proper way to drink a trendy foo-foo drink like a Corona and lime. Same person probably doesn't even put up his/her pinky when drinking a Zima.

Re: Do little things sometimes p*** you off?

I travel to Mexico a lot on business and find it interesting that most Mexicans I deal with think of Corona as their country's version of Old Milwaukee.

So I just laugh inside when I see how trendy the brand is here in the U.S.

Is it trendy or is it marketing trickery. There just doesn seem to be enough variety in Mexican beers available. I would love to have something else but alot of places only carry Corona.

Not many carry Modelo, by far my favorite beer. What do they like down there in Mexico as far as their domestic beers are concerned.

For a good time try adding a shot of bicardi limon to your corona. I think the call them scubadiver or something weird in vegas.

Re: Do little things sometimes p*** you off?

Okay. In Mexico, they put the lime on the Corona bottle to keep the flys off of the beer bottle. Amazing how this evolves into anything trendy. Corona isn't even a very popular beer in Mexico. I guess this is an example of what happens with a weak product with some excellent marketing.
