Really wish I'd gone. I've seen them 3 times, including that epic show in Ames where Neil Young just found his way out on to the stage for a jam through "Cortez the Killer", "Rockin' in the Free World", and "All Along the Watchtower". I was waiting to hear Big Whiskey before I got tickets (i really didn't like Stand Up) and at that point it was too late. The DMB is unquestionably one of the greatest bands of this generation.

Oh well, I'm going to Wilco thursday night. I've never seen them and it should be great.

This was my 4th Dave show, and probably the least entertaining. Not that it wasn't good, just nothing really stood out. Very good jam session during Crush, otherwise nothing spectacular.

More importantly, where is Wilco playing? And how have I not heard about this?

U of I Memorial Union. I'm not thrilled about going to Iowa City, but you gotta do what ya gotta do. Now you've heard. I watched "Ashes of American Flags" last night to get pumped for it.

I guess I found someone who hit the sauce harder than me today. Review my posting history, please. You will find nothing that suggests I even tolerate Iowa, let alone root for them through a toothless mouth from a barstool somewhere.

Ah, should have known. I don't go to IC. Even for Wilco.

I admire that kind of dedication.

Apparently I'm a Tavern Hawk for attending a concert there. My sig pic is clearly a disguise to convince people like CyPride that I'm an ISU fan.

:biglaugh:

I just have a great distaste for that town. Too many bad experiences.

Can't say I have a wealth of bad experiences there, but the d bag factor gets under your skin pretty quick.

You've mentioned 'going to iowa city' more than once on this board. your du rag picture and this picture in your avatar looks to me like you could have some of that 'factor' that 'gets under your skin'......

i think you are a hawk.

You know Al...I think he's on to something. You have over 4000 posts on a Cyclone message board, you are a donor to CF, and apparently your picture is not "Cyclonish" enough. You're a hawk.

Clearly. I'm not sure how anyone could come to another conclusion.

Apparently going to Iowa City on occasion (god forbid I have friends who go to U of I) is enough to make you a Hawk in disguise. I also got banned for tearing into THH. Another ruse! I've been discussing Cyclone Athletics on this site for over 3 years, ripping on Hawks, coming after Hawks, clearly holding myself out as a fan of ISU only to lay in wait for some great moment in Hawkeye-dom to come out of the Hawk Closet and show you guys how bad I fooled you all.

Don't forget of what committee you're chairman. Another red herring.
