I have tried to find a record for consecutive wins to start a career by a rookie coach. If anybody has any idea please post. Im guessing CFH has a ways to go though.

I know Bob Guthridge who took over for UNC after Dean Smith retired had over 30 wins his first year as head coach if I remember correctly.

FH either comes nowhere close to this mark or he's straight up "the man". (He might be "the man" regardless - I just don't see him opening up the season with 17 straight wins)

Honestly if you look at our schedule, we could go 16-0 pretty easily. There are no unwinnable games in there. There are good tests with UVA Cal and Nebraska. All those teams have losses though. UVA just had a game where they scored 5 in a half...

The 17th game is against Kansas at home. Which always seems to be close and end up in KU's favor.

I don't think it has been close at home since we had Jake Sullivan. I think KU is even better than last year, esp. when they get Selby back.

Well then, can we just play them with our scout team?

16-0 is possible, highly unlikely though. This far into the season I believe we will be favored in the rest of the first 16 then head into Kansas. If this happens both teams will be ranked and the atmosphere will be crazy and the game is on ESPN2.

Last years game in Hilton was close for a majority of the game, then we fell apart. We will be out talented but one thing is sure we will not be out hustled nor will this team give up.

I hope CFH can get us back to the days I remember-Beating KU in close games at Hilton, then who cares what happens at the Phog. We had a nice stretch of winning quite a few games against them (at home).

It obviously depends on how we do in the upcoming games, but as of right now I wouldn't be shocked if we weren't favored @ Iowa or @ Virginia. I also think that Wednesday's game vs UNI is going to be near a pick-em game and depending on the early betting trends could fall either way.
