Hey fanatics, i need some advice. I have been a mediacom subscriber (iowa city) for 20+ years. We have watched alot of cyclone games on mediacom channel 22. I'd like to switch to direct tv, which is advertsed at ths site. Will i not be able to see my beloved cyclones if so, or does direct tv carry the games i usally see on mediacom?
Thanx for your advice.

I don't think you can get them without Mediacom. I've had Dish and Direct, and now Mediacom, and the games are the most important factor in keeping it (internet speed #2). Still, when my two years is up, I will have to switch if I don't get a sweetheart deal to stay.

Without Mediacom cable, you'll miss:
*5-6 MBB games
*4-5 WBB games
*3-4 WR duals
*Coaches' shows and replays

...UNLESS you get Clone Zone.

I have Directv and live in Omaha so Mediacom is not a factor for me. But with Direct I get Sports Pack for football which includes all Fox Sports channels so I never miss a football game, and I cancell Sports Pack after football season and then sign up again in the fall so I don't have to pay for it year 'round. I also get Full Court for basketball which includes the B-12 Network games, (this is very important for me since Nebbie went B-10 and the locals no longer care about B-12 games). I don't pay for Full Court after BB is over. Of course I'm signed up for Clone Zone as well. I have not and will not miss a basketball or football game with all these options.

I pay a little more, but there is no doubt in my mind that Directv is the best option for me. I simply don't understand why others don't use it, its a no-brainer.
