I am ecstatic about this. Stokes was a liability at CB last year when he played. Lynn and Richardson especially are much better players at CB.

Also, having a 1,2 at QB instead of an OR is very interesting. Either Richardson's experience has given him a significant edge or Rhoads has changed his strategy when it comes to QB competition. To be honest, the way it has worked out so far with them I am happy about it. Might as well try to get one guy to be THE guy and have the team develop with him and have confidence and trust in him.

Much better yet didn't play?

Thought I would come back to this just because of the recent interview with Douglas on cyclones.tv.

Douglas said Richardson was hurt and that Lynn was probably the most talented of the group, but wasn't mature enough to play. He said they went with Stokes because he was older and that even though he was smooth, he wasn't "sudden" or "quick" enough "to be out there on the island".

There is NO WAY he is 250-255.....Look at how he looked beginning of last season and then in the bowl game. MUCH smaller....not to mention Nelson and Morrissey (both same position) are about 250.....Willie is MUCH smaller than them

I disagree with you completely. He is bigger than 224 pounds. Good gosh. Maybe 250-255 is a stretch but he isn't under 240.

I only see 4 guys on the 2-deep depth chart that started a game in 2011.

4/53

that's a really, really young team

How many played a significant amount of snaps equal to the starters though?

I count 32 players with significant experience returning, counting Kirby and Arceo. The ones I counted that played the least were Brackens, Sam Richardson, and Jevon Miller. I didn't even count Nealy. Your stat is going to be skewed this year due to Rhoads rotating so many players.

2011 not 2012

I said tuftee, white, kirby, and farniok. To my knowledge, the only ones to start games in 2011. Quite a few do have (just) one year experience.

Didn't Woody get the start in at least one game in 2011? I'm pretty sure he did.

That wouldn't be different for any team. Starting sophomores is not a positive and is rare.
