I don't think it's that common for a poster to need to delete multiple comments in a thread. At least not common enough to add a feature for it.

This is usually prevented on most forums.

I've seen forms that only let you delete / change withing 24 hours. Esp ones where information given on posts is important on previous searches. Even deleting the account keeps the posts, it just changes the name.
