Helpful hint, there's an app called JustWatch that I have on my phone. Put in any movie or TV show and it will tell you if it's on any streaming services. You can also enter what streaming services/TV providers you have and it will show those first on searches to make it easier.
I use it all the time and have made a list of movies/shows I want to watch for when my wife inevitably asks what I want to watch and then just watches what she picks anyway. But I HAVE A LIST!

I use the Decider website for the same purpose

Yeah I know there are other options. I like the app on my phone for convenience.
I told my wife to make her own list so we can compare, but she doesn't like planning ahead that far.

This is another website I use to show me all the upcoming new movies on the calendar and where they will be released (Theater, VOD, differing streaming services, theater/streaming simultaneously). This is another thing that I've found hard to keep track of with all the differing modes of dropping films now-a-days. If you aren't actively monitoring stuff like this, it's REALLY easy to have some pretty big time releases go completely under-the-radar to an individual, especially if you don't have a certain streaming service. Shoot, even a monstrous streaming service like Netflix is notorious for not or under-marketing their own films. So, some pretty big releases with some pretty big budgets are still easy to go unnoticed, even if you have the streaming service. The movie "Infinite" is a pretty good example that many of you likely haven't heard of that dropped just recently on Parmount+ and was produced by Paramount. Granted, the movie is quite terrible, but it is still a very big budgeted movie with some pretty big stars in it that is likely going unnoticed by many due to it's relatively light marketing and the fact that it is on Parmount+.

Social media reactions are out for James Gunn's Suicide Squad and they are pretty over-the-top positive:

Granted, if I've learned anything, initial social media reactions tend to skew more positive than the end reviews do when all is said and done. However, these are so ridiculously positive that I have a hard time believing the end result will stray too far from mostly all positive. Regardless, it sounds like we are going to get something fairly creative and new out of it.

With how bad Suicide Squad was, I wrote this movie off with a large eye roll when it was first announced. Color me intrigued.

If a Suicide Squad movie is going to be good it will be with Gunn at the helm. I am definitely excited for this.

I did a lot of product work on this property and thought it looked amazing. Kind of like the X Force movie we are being denied in some ways.

Only thing I questioned was the naming convention.

Rumor is that the following actresses are reading/screen testing for the role of Batgirl:

Isabella Merced

Zoey Deutch

Leslie Grace

Haley Lu Richardson

The movie will be an HBO MAX exclusive, based on a script by Christina Hodson and co-directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

Hmmmm. Can't say that any of them seem like a home run to me. Isabella Merced looks like she is 12 and I guess I could kind of see Zoey Deutch in the role. Don't know much of anything about Leslie Grace and I just don't see Haley Lu Richardson as a fit.

Interesting long interview with David Goyer on a variety of topics where he gives very candid responses. He talks about everything from Blade to why the DCEU doesn't work as good as the MCU, to would Joker have been in The Dark Knight Rises. Lots of other topics too.

Some pics of Batfleck in the upcoming Flash movie. They are definitely going with more of an armoured look in this movie, which I can't say I'm the biggest fan of. However, I'm of the opinion that both the Justice League and Batman v Superman Batsuits were the model of perfection, the most comic-accurate, and the best suits we've seen thus far. Hate on the movies themselves all you want, but I don't think anyone can mock the suits of nearly everyone. At least they stuck with the same cowl it looks like. I get that the point is to modify stuff up some in every movie to sell more toys, but why stray too far from perfection? I'm also a person who DOES NOT particularly car for the new Robert Pattison Batsuit. I'm willing to give it a shot in action, but I'm not sold thus far.

Suicide Squad full reviews are out and it holding a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The reviews are all pretty over-the-moon too. Think we got a good one on our hands. Can't wait!!!!

JK Simmons is apparently in talks to reprise his Commissioner Gordon role in the upcoming Batgirl movie. This makes me excited as it likely means one more direction where the DCEU continues. I'm personally a big proponent of the movement forward of the DCEU in both films and TV rather than all these different DC universes (Joker, The Batman, all the different TV/streaming worlds.... etc).

Couple observations from this article and all the recent pics coming out of Shazam 2:

1. Dang, Grace Fulton looks great, beautiful, and quite grown up since we last saw her
2. I find it really cool that they've just transitioned her into both the normal and superhero version of Mary, because she clearly looks the part now

Cobra Kai sar Xolo Mariduena is apparently in talks to star as Blue Beetle in the upcoming HBO Max movie they are making. While I actually really like this kid and am a casual fan of the Cobra Kai series, is it terrible of me to think the kid isn't really that great of an actor though???? Don't get me wrong, he has improved throughout the series and likely still will, but at this point, I'd probably be more excited if it were someone else. If he does get cast, I hope the kid proves me wrong.

Anyone else seen The Suicide Squad yet? I just finished it on HBO Max.
Major improvement over the first one, IMO. Robbie continues to absolutely *own* the role of Harley, and I liked Flag's characterization much better in this film than in the first one. And John Cena was brilliant. That dude has some real talent. I did feel like Elba's Bloodsport fell a bit flat, but only because the character was so similar to Deadshot, and as much as I love Elba and liked his performance, he's just not Will Smith. I was bummed to see Captain Boomerang bite it so early; that character was one of the things I enjoyed from the first film.

Overall, this was a very strong entry for the DCEU. James Gunn really knows how to weave in the right amount of comedy and blend an ensemble cast together to get each character enough time to shine.

Would have been a massive hit if the original was this good.

Best DC comics movie since dark knight trilogy. Not saying they are alike, just best quality since then and I thought first WW was very good.

I worked on some products for this movie but covid scheduling pretty much destroyed their chance of getting sold widely. One of those where I could tell in advanced pitch it was gonna be great and surprise people.
