It is crazy to think I'll be watching the Peacemaker series in only a couple days

Anyone seen any Peacemaker yet? If so, thoughts? I see they actually dropped 3 episodes to start out, which I had heard rumblings about, but wasn't sure they would do.

I’m about an episode and a half in, not sure what to think. The humor is definitely there, and I actually think Gunn is better suited for longer formats like this. But this is weird to be sure…and the dance number intro is something to behold.

I ended up watching all 3 episodes of peacemaker yesterday, and I’ll be definitely finishing it. The whole “villain becomes antihero” trope is pretty played out, but Gunn’s writing combined with Cena’s comedic chops and the great casting makes me invested for the long run.

Watched just the first episode of Peacemaker and found it to be just alright so far. I didn't love it, but didn't hate it. I'm still not convinced I want a whole series of this guy yet, even though I liked him in Suicide Squad, but who knows. I'm giving it a shot.

The first two episodes were pretty slow, the 3rd really started to move the plot IMO.

Whoof... mark me as disappointed. I'm digging the look of Leslie Grace in the role, but that costume looks terrible in a cheap/CW/bad cosplay kind of way. How did we somehow go from the perfection of the Batfleck costume to this??? At least those cheek bones and jaw lines are about perfect for wearing a cowl.

Episode 2 of Peacemaker was better than the 1st IMO. The first episode was funny for sure but lacked any sort of direction. Episode 2 at least started to show us some direction. I'll keep watching, but it's not something I'm rushing to every week.

It's a little crude for my liking, but I will admit that Peacemaker is finding its stride and is quite entertaining. This most recent episode makes Vigilante my new favorite character.

I was just coming to this topic to say that Vigilante is by far the best character in the DCEU. His goading the neo-nazis in the jail and then beating the hell out of them was the highlight of the series so far.

Also where the hell has the actor who plays vigilante been hiding all these years? I remember his bit part in Harry Potter but hadn’t seen him in anything since.

Early Batman reviews seem great. I thought it seemed perfect when I got peak at some details…3 whole years ago…worked on some products for it but several were derailed by general world chaos.

Following up Nolan trilogy is guaranteed disappointment for some but I think this is likely going to be as good as possible.

Honestly after "Weird Tom Hardy voice Bane" it was time for a reboot. Nolan was getting high on his own supply in that one.

That said there is a 0% chance I see this in the theater if they are going to make it as violent and gritty as it appears.

Some are complaining not violent enough because they went pg13, stress on the detective noir elements.

Maybe more of a case of not as violent as expected because of that one trailer.

You should look at Metacritic not Rotten Tomatoes. Literally anyone can get a Rotten Tomatoes account if they want. Metacritic are true critics. Right now with 46 reviews on there it's averaging 72/100 which is very very good for a comic book movie. We're going Thursday night!

Variety gives it 100/100

I really liked Peacemaker. Cena does a great job and the rest of the cast is really good too. I love that it didn't take itself too seriously. There's room for something like that. Of course, it wouldn't be anywhere without Gunn. He adds the GoG humor in the right spots and is really good at adding music at points, just like GoG. Very entertaining.
