I am not a big Comic guy or anything, but enjoy these movies. Tom Hardy is good, and I liked him in Inception. Anne Hathaway is a good actress, but not sexy enough in my opinion. She's attractive, don't get me wrong, but I just don't think she is sexy enough to play Catwoman. Kind of like Gwyneth Paltrow, Hot not sexy.

I would rather see Blake Lively, Mila Kunis, Emmanuelle Chriqui or Eva Mendes in a Catwoman suit. Save Anne for the Romantic Comedies and Dramas.

Considering he casted Maggie Gyllenhal as the romantic interest in the last movie, I doubt he's all that worried about just fulfilling people's catwoman fantasies.

Bane sucks. The entire character SUCKS. I don't want a Nolanized version of him either. Cyclone colored sprinkes on a dog turd doesn't make it a great dessert. it's still a turd. If the writers wanted to go in the comic-book direction they should have stuck with Killer Croc in the sewer under Arkham.

Maggie Gyllenhal added a lot of depth to that character that Katie Holmes could not deliver. I just think that Catwoman has to have some type of femme fatal to her. I am not suggesting Pam Anderson or someone who has zero acting skills. The other women I suggested can bring more depth than Anne Hathaway IMO. Whether it is being more vulnerable, edgier or sexier.

To be fair, no one has any idea what the hell he's planning to do with that character. I like Hathaway as an actress though. I do agree, it seems odd on the surface, but hell so did Heath Ledger as Joker.

Very true and Heath Ledger made Jack Nicholson look bad. Not an easy thing to do. Wish he was still around to reprise the role.

Word. And I should clarify, I actually liked Gyllenhall in that part (and in other movies), but I think it shows that he's not overly worried about injecting cheesecake into his movies.

Since Arnold is available again, I was hoping he'd get another shot at Mr. Freeze.
Do I really need to put the pirate with that one?

Interesting choices for not only the villains, but the actors cast.

1) Catwoman's not really a villain, and it'll be interesting to see if her addition is mostly to throw a potential love interest in there for Bruce/Batman or whether she'll be a bit more sinister. Anne Hathaway really surprises me, because it's kind of hard for me to imagine a princessy type person playing that role. I'm somewhat intrigued to see how it all comes together.

2) Bane as an actual villain...well, it's interesting they picked him because 1) he's a relatively 'new' villain and 2) his claim to fame is being the 'Man who broke the Bat'. His abilities do seem a bit difficult to 'rationalize' in a 'realistic' universe, but I'm sure if you can have microwave technology that can vaporize entire water supplies but leave water inside humans completely unharmed, then perhaps you can come up with something believable for Venom.

As for Tom Hardy playing Bane, well, it is a interesting choice, as Hardy is 1) not particularly big and 2) he's British. Easy to work around, of course, but still.

Villains that probably couldn't fit in Nolan's universe:
Killer Croc, Dr. Freeze, Clayface, Man-Bat, Poison Ivy and Solomon Grundy

Villains that could be used:
Riddler, Hush, Deathstroke or Deadshot, Harley Quinn (though without Joker...), Dr. Strange, Penguin (as a regular short fat guy. Not as a human penguin)

I don't think it's so much Ledger making Jack look bad, all the early movies look like cartoons compared to what Nolan's doing.

Have you seen Havoc? She isn't exactly a princessy type in that one.

Actually, no. Just know of all her romantic comedy works. Not saying she's a bad actress or she couldn't pull off Selina Kyle...just that every time I see Anne Hathaway, I imagine a princess.

Yeah, watch Havoc. It'll take that princess image and firmly dispose of it.

For those who have not seen "Love and other drugs" - go see it! Tell your girlfriend or wife that you want to take them out and watch a "girlie movie"........Anne is naked about 30% of the movie and was looking good!!!

What?! The Burton movies do not look like a cartoon by any standard. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin look like cartoons even without the comparing them to Nolan's movies, they're just garbage.

Ugh. Turtle Cheesecake, maybe.

Maggie G. and Anne Hathaway are not even in the same ballpark. One is a classically beautiful actress, the other is a troll. I'll let you decide.

Maybe Maggie's cheesecake fell on the floor.
