Well that sucks. It is a loaded WR room and this shouldn't have a huge impact considering the depth but he is the kind of player that just does the work and is consistently there. Was hoping he might have a nice year with all the other receivers requiring defensive attention.

Can he medical RS and come back for an extra year?

Might not be terrible in the long term considering what's departing after this season...

I don't know the background of his previous injuries, but are they all related in some way to the accident he was in a while back?

Not trying to be insensitive towards Jackson as this obviously is a huge blow to him but this may actually be a good thing for the team.

We have tons of depth at receiver with limited snaps to play everyone. Losing Jackson will allow some of our young guys to get more reps. Next year losing Noel and Higgins is going to hurt. Keeping Jackson on that team is going to help next years team a lot more than this years team.

I would compare this to the 2015-16 season losing Naz. Obviously we would have loved to have him that season but him staying next playing with Thomas and Monte helped that team tremendously.

I don't want to undersell an injury. I hope he makes a full recovery and can help next years team.

Not exactly sure.
Honestly, it may be best for him to retire, he can keep his scholly and get his education and move on with life. Health wise I'm talking. I was hoping he would be a solid contributor but I don't want him to be using a walker at age 40 because of all the injuries.
