Wouldn't it be nice to get to a point where you lose track of where all the Cyclones are playing in the NFL and some names will pop up that you don't even remember played for ISU? I just think of fans of teams like Georgia and Alabama, where that has to happen once or twice, where a second team guy who rarely played winds up on an NFL team and when the announcers say he played at your school, you say, "REALLY?" If such a thing happened at ISU, it could only mean good things are happening on the football field.
I’m not sure that “multiple Cyclones on every NFL team” counts as losing track.

Coming from the other side of the argument, most of my inlaws are hardcore Buckeyes. They don't mind noon games, but because of the way Fox does Big Noon, virtually every home game they have is at noon. They never get night games at home anymore. I get why they want a different time slot occasionally. It's not really that pathetic, honestly. I think most of our fans would be upset if EVERY home game was an 11 AM kick.
Let's play the devil's advocate for a second. If TheOSU got its way as often as it would like, there's a massive audience across the entire country that would begin to vacate that timeslot. This is an understandable strategy given the timezone slots. Seriously, how many fans are going to boycott this game because of its timeslot? My guess is very few. While at the same time, how many fans would be added to the other timeslots using a broader geographical audience. Regardless of how many it'll still be an increase. So Fox, in the end, doesn't lose viewership. It expands it.

I see your point, but those night games had more justification for complaint because traveling back home at night is objectionable, but a noon game has little room for complaint.
I am disappointed when our schedule ends up loaded with early day games in the first (hot) part of the season and then back loaded with night games at the end (colder) part of the season. Early night games can help with keeping fans more comfortable and safe and later day games can help with comfort and attendance.

Someone posted the twitter post about our last morning kickoffs in the Cy-Hawk. That first multi OT game was hotter than hell. I will never forget that about that game.

Totally understand your point and I will admit that I am not in the place to judge the logistical issues with night games every weekend as I live out of state.

Having said that, I guarantee we would also complain if every single big game for the past 6 years was at 11am. Every. Single. One.

Edited: at least Ohio State isnt wanting to leave the conference (looking at you OU) because of game times.
