I'm definitely not a horror guy. I make a point to not watch them whenever possible.

I blame my older sister who terrorized me when anything scary was on. I just don't get any entertainment value from being frightened. And yes, I still get frightened.

Edit: I reviewed all the films. I've seen 2. Jaws and Psycho. That's it.

I've seen exactly 2 of these, and I voted accordingly. I enjoy these tournaments and appreciate that went into making it, it's just not my genre.

Totally understand. Also with these tournaments the threads can't be pinned to the top so since they are more ratings driven than posting driven they can get lost in the shuffle especially with all the other news going on.

Not really my genre, or at least not the slasher movies or the ones that rely on gore and jump scares.

I always liked the 70s and early 80s classics that built tension and dread. More recently I liked the Peele movies, though I would not consider Nope a horror movie.

I think the biggest snub is The VVitch. Probably the first time since I was a kid that I was truly creeped out by a movie.

Wow - I've seen 1 movie out of the 64 listed....guess it tells me horror is not my genre. I should branch out :)

I loved the old slasher movies of the 70s and 80s. Grew up on those. Some were jump scary and some were almost comedies with a bunch of gore. But things changed in the 2000s where the movies turned to actually scary and sometimes pretty disturbing. I haven’t gotten into that much.

I watched The Conjuring over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the horror and the storytelling.

Of course, I had to follow that up with Annabelle and The Conjuring 2. Also enjoyable movies. I'm a bit of a completist, so I think I'm stuck watching all 7 related movies now.

Sorry rulzzz. Haven't seen most of these, or its been so long i dont remember. I did vote for saw tho, cause that ending made me rewind.

Like I've said a bunch in here it's all good. I'm not a horror fan either but hosting for @demoncore1031 and he put some hard work in all by himself so just wanted his tournament to get all the action it could.

I feel like the shock value of gore is lazy. The really brilliant horror films IMO are the ones that fill you with a sense of dread. As much psychological as blatant horror.

Not necessarily. I have seen some slasher flicks that have a great storyline and they are not just about the kills. But I get your point. The newest Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie is a good example of what you are saying. The kill scenes were excellent, but the story was dumb. One of the worst horror movies I have ever seen.
