It was kind of in reference to Conditt but they didn't say anything super specific. It was more of a general statement of what was happening in the program. What guys?

I thought the tidbit about guys being told different things than what actually happened on the court under Prohm was interesting.

Yah except what people are saying, if true, have nothing to do with his injuries.
I heard that more as all college basketball coaches do that -- promise the world during your recruitment then (somehow) transition players to reasonable expectations once they make it to campus and make most of them buy into being role players instead of expecting to be a high-usage lead scorer.
I thought Scottie was saying Prohm was particularly bad at this process and most of the best and the legendary coaches in college basketball are adept at managing this process and those egos.
Reminds me of something Popovich said once to the effect that the X's and O's and game strategy were the easy part of being the head coach. The real core of the job was managing the bonfire of the vanities that make up an NBA locker room. The Last Dance made that pretty clear for the Phil-era Bulls.
I'll always remember him kissing the floor after his last home game at Hilton.
JoBo can't lick ThugLife's shoestrings when it comes to Hilton departures!
Wasn’t Scotty more a top of the arch 3 guy than he was a corner 3 guy?
And my old man memory seems to recall them being from the top of the arch. When I think of corner threes, I think of Matt Thomas (and all of the times he was standing on the sideline when catching the pass). Not exactly your question, but I found these records interesting...
MOST THREE-POINTERS MADE (CAREER)
1. 270 = Jake Sullivan
2. 260 = Nazareth Mitrou-Long
3. 254 = Matt Thomas
4. 198 = Scott Christopherson
5. 190 = Dedric Willoughby
6. 188 = Georges Niang
7. 183 = Fred Hoiberg
8. 182 = Monté Morris
9. 146 = Tyrus McGee, Michael Nurse
HIGHEST THREE-POINT PERCENTAGE (CAREER, MINIMUM OF 70 ATTEMPTS)
1. 44.3% = Scott Christopherson
2. 43.7% = Tyrus McGee
3. 42.6% = Tyrese Haliburton
4. 42.4% = Jake Sullivan
5. 42.4% = Jamie Vanderbeken
6. 41.6% = Donovan Jackson
7. 41.4% = Michael Born
8. 40.1% = Matt Thomas
9. 40.0% = Fred Hoiberg
10. 40.0% = Lucca Staiger
So he's #4 in all-time volume and #1 in all-time shooting percentage.
One of my favorite memories. I had bought my Dad and I tickets to that game. He hadn't been to an Iowa State game in a decade! He bought season tickets the following season.I'll always remember him kissing the floor after his last home game at Hilton.
Lucca, top 10! How quickly we forget. Not exactly your question, but I found these records interesting...
