Have we learned how ro win on the road ? From 1985-1994, our conference road record looks like it was 12-58. Can that possibly be right ? What does it take to win Big 12 games on the road ?
Was probably lucky that tv options weren't as great back then. The road games probably weren't as well viewed.Yes, Johnny had them rockin' in Hilton, not so much on the road.

Pretty sure Johnny made the tourney one year when all the wins were at home and all the loses were on the road. That was the famous "and we kicked your ass" year when talking to **** Vitale. **** was arguing we should not make it because of that. Johnny won that war of words. haha
That was 1991-92. Largely win-at-home, lose-away, but not entirely.
Losses at Hilton: (2) Oklahoma State
Oops, I mis-organized something -- revision in the works. Thanks.
5-2 home (NU, MU)
0-7 road
I’d take those days back in a secondI do believe in Hilton Magic but it really started because of Orr's pathetic performance on the road. If you took the two games in a given year vs a given opponent our home court advantage looked huge.
I see why the administration "fired" Johnny.
He did great things, even though he didn't win.
Too bad the Veisha jerks disrepected him. Those drunks !!!
