I see according to the scout page that ISU has offered Clyburn? I assume that means that Gmac knows a 4th scholarship will be open at seasons end? It seemed like a 4th scholly for sure was all that was keeping him from offering Clyburn a long time ago. Anybody have info on that front?

Will likely be a Cyclone, as we have been in the drivers seat for awhile.

Any player who has scored 54 points in one game is good by me. Luckily, Mac's JUCO recruits have been pretty good for the most part.

While im happy we've offered Clyburn. It makes me lose all hope that Craig or Gillstrap will be back, resulting in another pathetic season.

I don't think they are the ones being replaced by this one. I don't think Mac would jump the gun on them especially since their futures as far as next are questionable.

i guess we just hope MCC's guards are better than Iowa State's now...

Yep, that is a pretty good point... sure hope MCC has a good backcourt!

Clyburn is a classic three, correct? Not going to play power forward much or shift over to the point guard position ever?

Phillips is a 1 or 2

Clyburn is a 3...might be a stretch to say he could play the 2, but does handle it better then Gilstrap.

I agree with this assesment, however I suspect we will be a better as a team next year if one or both of them leaves. (emphasis on team)

I somewhat agree. I think some guys feel limited on how aggressive they can be and think for some reason they must rely on Brackins and Gilstrap to score instead of looking to score themselves.

For whatever reason, the chemistry on the court hasn't worked this year, and the overall team has been less than the sum of it's parts. I'd love to see Brackins or Gilstrap (or both) back, but it doesn't seem likely that we'll have both. I like the sound of Clyburn plus the other kids coming in, and you never know with college basketball, so I'm not going to write off next season just yet.

With this many newc players, it will be a new Year One and we are young.

Shall we hang out our Help Wanted sign again?

Stability right? Next year we will be relying on more newcomers, just like the previous 3 years.

In saying that, I am fine with the Clyburn offer. Hope he is a stud.

At this point, could it really get any worse? Maybe it would be a good thing to get some new players in here.
