I have some friends who work in hollywood and have heard stuff that was WAAAYYY worse the what Bale did. Not saying its right but its not as uncommon as everyone is making it out to be. A few of the worst things I heard were:

An actor wanted to have a PA (production assistant) fired for saying good morning to him and *gasp* looking him in the eye.

An Actor showing up hours late to a set cuz they felt like sleeping in.

An Actor getting caught having "relations" with an extra and trying to bribe the guy who caught them by offering to buy him a motorcycle.

An actor flying off the handle in the same way Bale did but finishing it up by urinating all over the set and then going home.

Classy bunch, its a good thing they all know how to fix all the countries problems. From my experience most of them need a good *** kicking.

I will say that Mathew Perry was a very nice dude who was very down to earth. Acted alot like his character Chandler.

That rant sounds VERY similar to recent rant I let loose on a HyVee employee when he informed me that they do not carry Shasta Creme soda. Obviously, he deserved it.

Folks that work on stage/screen generally move to the beat of a different drum anyway, and tend to be, well, dramatic

I've seen and heared worse. Even had spittle land on my face.

And FWIW, the two biggest Ego's on set, Actors and DP's. DP's walk around the set like they own the place and I assume that's what happened. And it seems that it was the second time it happened. Not saying it was the right way to act, but who knows what the DP was actually saying to Bale in that altercation. The DP wasn't mic'ed up like Bale was.

hmmm....what's the perfect word I'm looking for to describe Bale...?? hmmm..... oh there it is, ****, yep that's what I was looking for. He sounds like a whiny little ****.

After he says "Ideer" a few times, I just couldn't take him serious anymore.:biglaugh:

What?? That word is blocked? What a bummer?
Can I say it rhymes with squat....

I understand that nobody on the set is allowed to look Tom Cruise in the eye. Some people think he's being a jerk but how productive can a movie set be if the workers are on their knees anyway?

The flip side of this Bale thing is I was watching a bio on Clint Eastwood and they talked about how he always gets whomever he wants to work on his movies because he is so great to work with as a director/actor.

I can understand why he's upset, if the guy did what Bale was accusing him of. But that went on waaayyy too long. Tell the guy he's a moron, tell him to knock it off and move on. All in all, not really that big of a deal though.

A quick shot to the forehead with a Bat-a-rang would have done the trick nicely.....then a large dose of Bat gas and some duct tape........
