Stop in the Jacobsen building and there are offices on the east side and right at the secretary's desk I believe it is has a whole mess of them. I picked up 10 yard signs, 10 magnets, 10 posters, and 10 folding schedules for my brother to distribute to all his employers who haven't seen "the light" well when they "choose" ISU I'll make sure to let JonDMiller in light of it.:biglaugh::biglaugh:

Would love to get up there and get one but that'll be tough. Call me lazy (you're lazy) but it's tough to pack up the kids and drive to Ames, just to turn around and come back. We were up there last weekend for my daughter's dance recital at CY Stephens so probably not heading back for a sign.

Sooooo.....that said....who has one I can have???

I am glad the little hawk inside him is wetting his pants over this.

You'd think with all the turmoil the prison squawks are having with their chain-gang err football team he wouldn't have so much time to worry about ISU yard signs. LOL

Hey Jon! Heads up next time I'm through Ames. I'll be sure to pick up a dozen or so for your yard! I'll be sure to post the pics here as well!! For everyone hating on HawkeyeNation's Jon Miller, he's really not that bad of a guy.............usually.

What's dumb is I think the whole premise of the argument is wrong. The point of the sign isn't that you literally chose the Cyclones. I think it's something to make light of the upcoming presidential election like my sig pic. It is after all modeled after political signs.

And as I said in the other thread, Pollard said at a tailgate tour stop that he hoped it annoyed Hawkeyes.

Yes. Also, the notion that people don't chose to be Cyclone fans is wrong. I'm another "raised" hawk fan who went to ISU and has become a Cyclone which is one of the things I love about being one; it seems like most of us actually went there so our connection to the team is stronger than your run-of-the-mill redneck squawk who doesn't have a GED. This goes double for the cornsucker REDnecks up here.

I have said this before, but I grew up in Chicago rooting for Illinois. As soon as I knew I was going to ISU, I was an instant Cyclone fan and have been ever since. I don't know how you can't root for your school.

I honestly feel like you miss out on a lot by not really rooting for your college in sports. Kind of takes away from the college atmosphere/experience.

Eh, I dunno. Only one of my roommates ever really cared to go to the games with me. The rest were too interested in drinking. One was just lazy. I don't think it took away much from them though.

Some of us work 9-5 (or 7:30-5) in Des Moines and can't get to Ames during ticket office hours. It would be great if ISU could somehow get a batch of these to a location in the DSM area where we could go during our lunch hours!

I have a half dozen extra signs in my garage.

If anyone wants to come by and pick one up PM me. I live in SE DSM... (Three Lakes Estates).

Considering this is an election year - I love the idea of yard signs. Very creative and better than the stupid politicians getting signs in a yard IMO.
