I've always been a fan of baseball, it's my favorite sport. I thank my father for teaching me discipline and appreciation of the game through being a life-long Cubs fan. I have watched this team play 90% of their games since April 5th. This has been the single most exciting sports team to watch my entire life. I love this team, I love how much support they're getting, and I love our chances. GO CUBS! GO!

Amen Brother!

8 pitchers in 9 innings. Joe Maddon is a mad mad Genius.

Jake and Jon can both pitch 2 in the NLCS.

Think they are blasting Sosa's old Boombox?

And then have Kerry Wood smash it with a bat.

I bet I have watched it 50 and I haven't been able to not giggle watching it yet.

I love the announcer saying "what in the world".

Anybody remember the times of day the championship series games usually are?

Unless they are weekend games they are night games right? I remember going nuts in my apartment in the evening during the Bartman game in 2003 I know, since there will only be 2 series going on I would assume they will all be night games during the week days.

What I think sucks is I believe whoever wins the Dodgers/Mets series gets home field advantage since they were division winners which I don't like because the Cubs finished 5 and 10 games better in the regular season than those 2 teams. Baseball really needs to re-evaluate how they seed teams in the playoffs like the NBA is doing. The Cubs and Cards with 3rd best and best records in all of baseball should not have to face each other in a divisional series and the team with the better record should get home field for the league championship regardless if that is the wild card team.

I get the thing with the All-Star game and home field advantage for the world series but if you really want to make that game meaningful they should take away the stipulation that every MLB team has to have an All-Star if they do that because at least a handful of deserving players get left out of that game on both sides because of that dumb rule. Arrietta is a perfect example of a snub because of that rule, I know he went on his historic tear post-all star but his numbers pre all-star were pretty damn good too at 10-5 with a 2.66 ERA.

I'm pretty sure they're all 8 pm starts from here on out. The AL and NL games will be on alternating nights.

There are 4 days where the AL and NL are scheduled on the same day. However, with the Chicago market playing either the NY or LA market, the NL will be the night game every time.

well, I don't think it's a big deal for the Cubs to start on the road. They're a great road team and we should be able to get 1 of 2 by starting Arrieta and Lester then come home for the home crowd to hopefully help out the other two starters.

Also, now I'm rooting for the Dodgers to win.

Unless they're throwing Kershaw on three days rest, he won't be available Saturday. And they'll need Greinke to close out the Mets.

Any other SP for them, I'd be glad to face in a playoff matchup with Arrieta on the mound.

Yup, I am convinced that the Cubs are perfectly capable as the road team. Plus if they can steal 1 or both of the first two games they could clinch at Wrigley in games 4 or 5.

Good, glad the Mets-Dodgers are going to 5 games. Use up their pitchers more.

Think I'm wanting the Dodgers to win.
