I absolutely LOVE all the excitement for the football program that Coach Campbell has brought in his short tenure here so far. This is HUGE, everybody can speculate on the Michigan situation, but there is absolutely NO denying he chose the good guys over Nebraska. I love it, welcome to Cyclone Nation Mr. Allen, you won't regret it!

It isn't speculation. Alex said he has been leaning good guys for 4 days before all the in homes this week. And he reported Michigan would take him regardless. They were super high on him and recruited him til the end.

Allen and Soehner gives us two big athletic TEs for the future. Having guys like these two give you so many options with formations and play calling. I really liked how physical are team became the last half of last year. Guys like these will make the run game and the play action pass a real issue for other teams.

I was very down on CA when I heard he was coming to the Kansas game to visit IState, I thought he was just trying to get in to see a good game.

Boy was I wrong!

Can't believe he committed to the good guys! Coaches doing an amazing job so far.

Did not know that. I would have been like 10 years old when he coached here so that explains why I don't remember assistant coaches from that long ago.

Terry is a good guy, super smart. Iowa City West Kid. Made UNI the winning program they are in FCS as HC. Made the mistake of taking the KU job. He took the ISU job after Kansas fired him as HC.

Why would you be down on a player for visiting?

Big get!!! Heard also the kid from Ames we offered, Colin Newell, had a rather disappointing visit with the folks in IC. Heard one of the coaches gave him a hand written letter and they spelled his name wrong. Not impressed!!

Dear Colon,

I took the time to write you this letter even though I didn't take the time to look up the proper spelling of your name. Please play ball for me.

This is huge. Could be a springboard into even bigger, better classes in the future. Need kids like this to convince other kids to hop on board.

This is the spark for classes with high 3 and 4 stars. This is how you go from winning 3 games a year to 8 and 9.

Also replacing your schedule with Big 10 teams not named Ohio St, Michigan St and Michigan is another way to get there. I like this route more.

The HuskerBoard thread on this is fairly funny. Several of them convinced he was theirs. Shocked when he picked the Cyclones.

My favorite is how they say "I can't believe he picked ISU over two college football Blue Bloods!"

Is Nebraska still a blue blood?

It's now red blood. Because they've been hemorrhaging for a while now.

In the eyes of every Nebraska fan? Yes
In the eyes of the rest of the country? Not a chance
