No reason we can't win 8-9 games next year, 10-11 the year after with these recruits!

His old man was and is a good guy. Great upbringing and am sure Chase is a good kid. Nice pick up for the good guys. Coach has done a great job for the short time he has been here.

Re: Chase Allen

Michigan just got a commitment from a 4* TE they had at the top of their list. According to one of their beat writers, Harbaugh informed Chase to consider his other options. He's ours, folks!!

Guaranteed Harbaugh was unpleased to say the least that Allen went public with what Harbaugh was asking him about his In Home Visit from Nebraska. Definitely didn't make Harbaugh look all that good. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would take that too well lol

He's an awesome pick up but Michigan wasn't an option by the time he decided. They pulled the plug on him yday from what I've heard to land some other kid.

Guaranteed Michigan went with the other TE when Allen did an interview telling the world that Harbaugh is insecure. He said Harbaugh really wanted to know what Nebby talked to Chase about in their visit...kept going after more and more information. Then tried to trash what Nebby uses their TEs for in their offense. As I said before...Harbaugh doesn't seem like the kind of guy to take his recruiting tactics being brought out into the sunlight.

Seems pretty coincidental that the day after that story broke, Michigan signed another TE.

Seems like a great addition to Iowa state University. What does it matter if Michigan wanted him or not?

Because some posters are still not able to trust our coaching staff, it's only important whether other coaching staffs wanted our recruits. To some extent, I can't say I blame them, but some do take it a bit far.

I think it's really cool the kid is confident enough to talk about all of that. Harbaugh shouldn't have said it if he didn't want it in the paper(man is that an old fashioned word)

Ya it is but if you wanna split hairs its not.
Not splitting anything. As of earlier today, Chase still had a committable offer from Michigan. Eubanks didn't change that.

Either way, he's an amazing pickup for this staff and hopefully will set the attention of some of the rest of the recruits they still want.

I haven't been keeping track of how many 3 or 4 stars have actually committed since the new staff got in, but it felt like a 3 star pick up under Rhoads was usually big news, and it's already kind of a regular thing for being in such a short time frame.

It also seems like Campbell is more present...they cut to him quite often during these Big Monday games and such.

With this commitment, it moved us up to #52 on rivals. I was expecting a larger jump than that. We need to close this class out with a surprise 4* or too to get that jump it appears.

Yeah his dad, he himself, Alex all say his offer is still even now on the table. Harbaugh really wants the kid. The kid told him Tuesday night he was leaning ISU. Told media what Harbaugh was asking him about Riley. Harbaugh new the writing was on the wall and took the commit from the other kid. Harbaugh was at the kids game Tuesday night. Plus his dad said he was leaning ISU the whole time so really the rumors he was ever leaning Michigan were false. Golesh was key, he would likely have gone to Illinois if Golesh was still there. He stuck with his gut. This staff can recruit. I don't know why our fan base has to assume we have to get lucky to.get a good recruit. These guys earned it.

Are you stupid? The more programs after a kid, the better. How do you not understand that?

How were we not recruiting Chase prior to Matt's hire? If we weren't you really have to wonder what was going on.
I wonder that same thing. Paul and Terry know each other, you figure the connection would have lead to recruiting Chase.
