This is weird for me. I’ve always had the feeling this would be a loss. But I’ve been doing some research and here's what I’ve seen. That vaunted WVU rushing attack? They’ve stacked up most of their stats against poor or very average defenses. If our defense does its thing and slows down their running game, forcing them to pass…the odds def shift in our favor. The more I think about it the more I’m having good feelings about this game.

Good point. If you remove the Okie St game from WVU, they would be around 50th in the country in rushing. On the flip side, if you remove that game for the OSU defense, they would still be around 120th.

ISU rush d is 67th. Against similar rated defenses, WVU has rushed for:

Kansas (82) 148 yards
Pitt (44) 188 yards

Maybe it's just my default reaction but whenever everyone is predicting an ISU victory I feel the let down coming. I'm cautiously optimistic that this year is different than in the past when we've been right on the cusp of glory.

No turnovers for ISU. Will WV allow a punt block? I think the score will be ISU 24- WV 17. I think it will be a good game. Last week, I told a friend ISU 34-BU 21. I got the 3 and the 4 turned around. I hope I have the 2 and the 4 turned around this week, but I doubt it.
