Just bring someone on from the Iowa side that wants to talk about the upcoming game... like strategies, advantages, disadvantages, x's and o's, personnel, etc. But please, not Jon Miller, who is nothing but a Cyclone hater who spews nothing but nonsense.

I can't stand this "well, don't you know he's just trolling you" BS. If that's true, that he's just a trolling idiot (which is likely true).... that's even more reason not to have him on. Nothing IMO, is more weak and spineless than someone spewing forth a bunch of garbage, and then when called on it they just say "well, you must be an idiot if you didn't know I was just trolling you.".

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with having a Hawk fan on at all. Just have a semi-intelligent one on that stands by what they say and isn't a spineless joker.

The two teams are playing each other and the sites have a mutual sponsor that wanted a podcast. I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand.

This makes sense. Have to appease new sponsors (I love exile) so you and your team can keep producing content. I definitely understand and respect that.

So according to Jon Miller, Iowa doesnt have much to gain by winning the ISU game and has everything to lose if they lose it.

Isn't that the definition of sport? Isnt that the case with every single game of the season?

That argument is so worthless. People say the same thing about us playing UNI. I dont care who we play, if you lose you lose and nobody will ever have anything to gain by losing and has everything to gain by winning.

I find it funny that JM thinks that Iowa shouldnt' play ISU and his argument is that tha national pundits wont give Iowa enough respect if they win and destroy Iowa if they lose....I dont hear him saying this about playing Wyoming or N Texas(what is this like 4 years in row they've played arguable one of the worst Div 1 teams in existence)?

The year they went 12-0 with a MWC schedule one of their tougher games was ISU sadly that year.

So Jon? Should IOwa not play N texas? Wyoming? Ball state?

Why anyone who cares about the sport in this state and its teams in this state would want a rivalry game to end is beyond me...especially given how much $$ it brings in for schools..

Totally agree. ISU is perennially the toughest non-con opponent Iowa plays. If Iowa was playing FSU, Bama, and Clemson as their other Non-cons i would see his argument. But playing 3 of the worst teams in the nation and then ISU, how can you try to get rid of the one decent team?

Thing that frustrated me is that CW didn't call his BS on the clock thing. You damn well know that hasn't been up all summer/spring. Call him on it!

I actually liked the podcast. Miller is wishy washy, but he was honest I felt. Whether you can handle his truth or not isn't Chris' fault.

Well done Williams, I can actually take Jon Miller's sense of humor, because I have worked with all kinds of personalities over the years. Miller is just the guy you gotta rib right back. He likes the trash talk and for him it's just part of sports. It's just a god damn game people!

Grow up a Cyclone fan in Eastern Iowa and tell me it is just a game. I am just glad I have matured past a lot of the petty crap and surround myself with sensible hawk fans.

Miller's a doosh....... I'd just as soon walk on my bare butt cheeks thru broken glass than to listen to that idiot talk anything about Iowa State. I just came for the last page to see why a thread with the ass hat involved made it this far. FInd someone legit to do a podcast with from the Iowa side

I was gonna say, when I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago as the only Cyclone fan in my entire graduating class (kid you not I was the only person out of 1,452 people that choose Iowa State) it was very easy to learn to hate hawkeye fans. I would never start an argument or fight, but would gladly keep it going when State would beat them.

I heard the "What time is it!?" "Noon" "Yup, and Iowa State still sucks!" joke all the time, and it may have been some of the sorriest trash talk ever. but it certainly stuck with me!
