Nice to see Mwitt still doesn't like Mike Taylor.

Should have been Lebron, Taylor, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard. This would have been hands down the best dunk contest ever. Blake Griffin won't be able to do much so it'll pretty much just be the Lebron show.
I would say there is about a 50 % chance Taylor isn't with the Clippers next year. The 8 through 15 players on an NBA roster are always being moved and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's not with them next year.

Shh, if you keep that up, then you're a Mike Taylor hater.

I don't care. If people think I'm a Mike Taylor hater because I know how the NBA works then that's fine.
This is a pretty cool opportunity for him to make a name for himself though. If he takes down Lebron he'd be a dunk contest legend.

I'm on your side. Everything you said was 100% correct.

No one has really answered my question yet. Is this for real? Is it online somewhere? Where exactly was this reported? It doesn't really make sense for this to be reported right now.

I really doubt this is legit. My guess is that the ESPN source mentioned who he would personally like to see in the contest next year, and it has been misconstrued by the original poster as fact. There is no way the NBA would select contestants this far in advance, particularly in the season before the event.

This past All-Star Game there was a fan-voting element to it, and the final dunk roster wasn't announced until January, which sounds like a much more realistic timeline. I call shenanigans.

I think he was and is a great talent and player, but didn't really think of him as much of a dunker? maybe I am wrong, anyone got some vids? I guess Rashon Clark was the only one I really remember throwing down like he meant it.

LeBron James, Mike Taylor, Nate Robinson and Blake Griffin will participate in the 2009-2010 Slam Dunk Contest. ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
This is total bs. There's no way they'd announce it this early, where's dh?, and griffin isn't even in the league yet.

I can't believe this post has actually gone this long and people are talking about it like it's really. Are you guys really that gullible? Or just starved for news about ex-Cyclones at the next level?
