Spent 3 hours last night watching full Yuba replays on YouTube. It was worth it, Malou could be special here. I worry though, will the NCAA say he's not eligible? Will they say he can only play one year? (Look at what happened to Deng Deng at Baylor. http://www.thescore.com/ncaab/news/804450?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter)

That makes little sense. I have never heard except this article that you have 5 years from graduating Highschool. That would negate the whole greyshirt concept. Your 5 year clock starts once you enroll as a full time college student. He must have enrolled at a juco or something out of High school. Otherwise this makes absolutly no sense.

This. Otherwise you wouldn't have seen that 30 something ex marine suit up in football a couple of years back. (Can't remember which team. I want to say South Carolina, but that's probably wrong.)

As long as Malou graduates at Yuba. There is nothing to worry about. Malou's 5 year clock started last year when he went to Yuba so he still has 3 years to play his last 2 seasons.

I'm picturing a new and improved Malou after he starts eating some better meals at ISU and sleeping on a decent bed. So happy for him to have the opportunity for his basic needs to be met more consistently, and happy for the Cyclones to have him on the team, too, of course!

Looks like Malou is playing at his natural SF position this season part of the time. His post moves have improved considerably. He oozes talent, but is raw is some basic aspects of the game.

So is pretty much every other top player coming in to CBB bar the top guys that end up at Duke.

I agree, but it seems people are expecting him to be amazing from day 1. It may happen, but I think his path may be closer to a shortened version of Fizer at ISU. It's fairly clear he desperately needs to learn from a basketball system. He's already made great strides from year 1 at Yuba.

I expect him to be amazing on the offensive end and bad on defense, just like pretty much every other top player coming in to P5 D1 basketball.

I'm more concerned by his nontraditional route and some of the unsavory characters he was stuck with on top of connecting all the academic dots to be fully eligible.

omfg how many times does this have to be hashed out? There's only one dot to connect. If he graduates from Yuba or not.

Just spent some time trying to find new Malou highlights and I found some. Not a lot, but better than nothing. Please don't bash the quality because I'm not the one who originally filmed the video.

3 shorts video clips:

https://instagram.com/p/97EH8cpiCu/ (3 highlights from his second game of this year)
