Love the point at the end about foul trouble. The last couple years, if a post player got beat it usually led to a dunk as Georges or Melvin backed off to avoid drawing the foul. With the added depth this year, they should be able to afford to foul.
Rarely did ISU commit smart fouls in the paint. More often than not a foul in the post was pretty weak and led to and 1 situations.
You can look at it two ways: last year, when we were 'win it all good' without a highly ranked defense was an aberration, or that Hoiball changes everything and the next trend doesn't require a top 20 defense to win. This year should tell us a lot.
