That's the problem....playing them IS like a 'fight'. I'd rather watch a fun basketball game. Not saying we can't beat them, but man, Tech makes us play ugly. (Leave it to KU to screw up our 5 seed). In fairness, have to give TCU credit.

Which of these is more bizarre?
1. TCU loses at home to ISU 2 weeks ago, but neither Tech or KU win there the past 2 games.
2. OhioSt wins at Illinois, then loses to Maryland and Nebraska the past 2 games.
I agree about the fight part with Tech. I think our guys would love a chance to get them again though and are up for the fight.

As to your second part, both. Both are insane and don’t make sense, but the Ohio State one is more believable imo.

I think we’ll put up a good fight against Tech. We’ll have “home court” advantage too.
I don't know their injury situation but they don't seem to be playing their best ball of late. That could change in a hurry though.

I'll be curious to see how the B12 does in the tourney after a few days rest.

Matchups matter too but let's see how things go when it's not a rock fight.

I'm also very curious how games involving big12 teams get officiated. Quick whistles or let them play?

I almost think I'd rather get the 7 and play Baylor. With the injuries that they currently have we may matchup better on a neutral court.

You don't want to play Tech or Baylor, they are not the best matchups, though Baylor is a little thin at the moment.

Texas would be ideal, no fans in KC it would be an ISU home game. No other fan base going to cheer for the the shorthorns.
Now let me tell you....LOL...The only fans who cheer for the Broken Horns are either dumb texans or the MENTALLY IMPAIRED!
...and remember GO CYCLONES~

To be honest, I’d rather win-out the regular season and who cares what happens in the Big 12 Tournament. Anymore, the committee really don’t put too much weight into it, unless your on the bubble and make it to the Championship game.

That sounds good today and your right...
but come next Thursday Hilton South occurs and I'm sure I'll be all in on winning the Big 12 championship. It is a tourney and ISU wins tourneys.

The Committee does (or should) give each tournament game the weight of every regular season game, so 3 quad 1 wins would absolutely impact seeding. A single quad 1 loss, not so much. Fans, however, tend to overestimate the importance of the tournament.

Personally, I’d like to win the next 11 (is that math right?) and just be done with it.

I guess I don't understand why everyone seems to think Tech is such a bad case scenario for us. Kansas, Baylor, Tech, and Texas are all really good teams who will be hard to beat, but also all possible wins particularly on a good offensive night for us.

My two cents: Outside of TCU, Tech threw us off our game offensively more than any other team.

Playing Tech felt like more of a rock fight than the games against KU, Baylor and Texas this year.

I tend to kind of like this teams chances in a rock fight compared to some alternatives and Tech has the worst offensive numbers of the four. I can see the argument for wanting to plan Texas versus playing Tech, but it's not a night and day difference in chances of winning for me.

I gave Iowa State one-half of the usual home court advantage. It is Hilton South, after all.

34.0% to defeat Texas Tech in the first round
13.3% to make the championship game
5.1% to win the championship
