Just fyi, this letter is a standard 'response' that may or may not accomplish a damn thing. It sounds good to us because it says what we want to, which it, "you screwed us to poop on you!" Unfortunately, a court may also say, "Yes, sort of, but get over it and get to moving along, you've got a year." Anyway, obviously totally guessing here but trying to temper the optimism without killing it. We need a little!

Yes and no…Pete Thames made a good point, last thing anybody at ESPN, it, or ou want us their university president on a courtroom stand

I think it’s a way to make sure ESPN understands they got caught and the big 12 is going to enforce the rules….ESPN, ou, and ut are paying up

If the Big 12 actually has the 'evidence' they claim they have, this could be a serious lawsuit. I believe the Big 12 can not only sue for the GOR money, but for future damages. This could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars, approaching money that the two athletic departments dont have. Seems like ESPN is the puppet master behind all of this though, I just cant believe they didnt cover their tracks better. They have an army of lawyers who had to have known the risks here.

Disney is very powerful for the BIG 12 to take on, they have multiple allies in the Media to back them over the BIG 12. The man who controls the ink controls the narrative. Plus they will have powerful ally in the conference with OU and Texas

All they have to do is give all the decision makers/ADs/Bowlsby jobs with better pay and this thing will be over.

I don’t think we’re getting Gameday for the Iowa/ISU game this year…haha. Good riddance though. I’ll be watching Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff now that Urb is gone…especially if they throw us a lifeline.
I'd like to get more into Fox but it's too bad they don't have some sort of SportsCenter.

ESPN has the ink, but Bowlsby has the receipts and I don't think he's interested in a new job

Maybe I’m wrong but I have a real hard time trusting Bowlsby right now.
