A league press release here. I always find these interesting though.

· The Big 12 has had a player selected among the top seven picks in 10 of the last 11 seasons (2006-16).

· The Big 12 has had at least one first-round draft choice in 19 of 20 seasons. There has been at least one athlete among the top 10 overall selections in 15 of 20 seasons.

· The Big 12 has had two players drafted No. 1 overall (Andrew Wiggins, 2014; Blake Griffin, 2009). Three different conference players have been selected No. 2 overall (LaMarcus Aldridge, 2006; Kevin Durant, 2007; Michael Beasley, 2008).

ENTERING THE 2017 NBA DRAFT …..

· The Big 12 has had 24 first-round picks in the last seven years.

· A total of 43 Big 12 players have been drafted since 2010, with nine or more players picked in the same draft three times since 2008.

Kind of interesting because I feel like we haven't had that many picks.

1997 1 15 Kelvin Cato C 6-11 255 Sr -5 Iowa State Dallas Mavericks DAL to POR 10

That's 13 but Johnson, Taylor, Huluska and Hamilton were no longer Cyclones when drafted. I think they still count Taylor since ISU was the last college he attended.

I actually think it is only 9?

Searching the Wikipedia list of NBA drafts by year shows these ISU players drafted :

Georges Niang (16), Abdel Nader (16) , Royce White(12), Craig Brackins (10), Will Blalock (06), Jackson Vroman (04), Jamaal Tinsley (01), Marcus Fizer (00), Kelvin Cato (97)

Just missed the 20 year cutoff : Loren Meyer, Fred Hoiberg (95)

Maybe they're counting Monte already, or maybe they counted Adam Haluska

Or is the list above missing someone?

I think what throws me off is the gap from 2007-2015. In that period we had 2 people actually selected over the 8 years.

Your list is accurate. Johnson (Syracuse), Hamilton (LSU), and Haluska (Iowa) made their bones at different universities prior to being drafted. I would count Taylor for ISU though since he didn't play elsewhere.
