Some of those tornados in Nebraska and western Iowa remind me of the Parkersburg tornado in their appearance and aftermath.
So it looks like no one died in Iowa or Nebraska. Feels like a minor miracle.
Miracle indeed. It's been awhile since we have had a day like this.
At least it was during the day and didn't catch anyone asleep.

I wonder if they may have dialed up the intensity of the radar last night, as there were "debris balls" all over the place that maybe weren't (and hopefully weren't) as dire as they looked. Ed Wilson seemed to allude to that possibility (can't remember his phrasing, but said something to the effect that sometimes they tweak the settings). That one over Pleasant Hill looked striking on radar to say the least.

There were definitely some Oklahoma looking tornadoes in the Midwest yesterday
was watching him live. trying to get into the middle of it. its fantastic footage I was actually scared for him
I’m very glad everyone is safe and no one got hurt. With what I do weather events are helpful to business but I never hope for what happened yesterday.
