Nice honor for him. Hopefully he can be more and more involved in the offense during the bowl and next year.

Offensive Newcomer of the Year is Iowa State's Aaron Horne, who led the league in kick return average in Conference games.

Not bad for a player that many thought wouldn't contribute - I think most people looked at him as a tag-a-long when we picked up Jantz.

Anybody else surprised that Klein got it over Knott? Either way it is a great honor.

For the first time in league history, the #Big12 has Co-Defensive Players of the Year. The winners: A.J. Klein (ISU) & Frank Alexander (OU).

What great recognition for Cheese/Ak47/AJ!! He really busted his *** this year, making plays all over the field!!

That is awesome for AJ! Sometimes he is a little overshadowed by Jake...great to see him get his due!

Definitely surprised that is was him, but the guy was a beast. I love the clip of him tackling the Oklahoma State running back in the back field.

I think the arm injury held back Knott a little this year....but he was still damn good.

This is my opinion as well. I would have been surprised if Jake got it because his injuries limited him in a few games.

CPR has to be glad to be totin' the AK47.
