I'll take Morris and whoever is out there at the time. Burton, Thomas, Long, Jackson, any of them.

I love this years team but I would not call them great closers (compared to teams with Niang).
They have lost a lot of close games. Gonzaga, Cinn, KU at HIlton, and TX.

Self: They think our guards are the best closers??
Ref: We know who helps you win the most games.

As someone without a dog in the fight, I'd take Ku every time as "best closer." Frank Mason is as tough as they come, and, and he's surrounded with superior talent. Morris is my favorite player by far. If he played at Ku the answer would remain the same. But it takes more than one to close the deal. At Ku, sometimes as many as eight.

ISU is 6-6 in games decided by 6 points or less this year.

KU is 10-2.

Lots of those games were before we had an established inside presence (Gonzaga, Cincinnati, Baylor, first game with KU).

I'll still take Morris and crew. Guard play hasn't diminished.

Some would call them the best closers. I would call KU the best posers. The regular season comes to an end this week. Time for KU to fade like a burned out light bulb. Be very surprised if it is KU that takes the hardware in KC this year.

It's funny that the postseason hardware ISU fans are concerned with is the Big 12 conference trophy.

I think we have different goals.
