Why do we always assume the worst of posters? I read the post that came right after the twitter note that said Lindell would likely start as "thank God Lindell finally will be back in the starting lineup" not "thank God that Nick is injured". He probably could have posted more to clarify, but he even came back to reinforce that he didn't mean it that way.
To be clear, I'm not saying I agree, just that I'm not going to assume the worst of the poster. Frankly, I have been fine with Wigginton coming off the bench.
I already noted that he could be misunderstood.
His results have been subpar for the past month. We need his scoring and shooting ability from January.
Fair enough. I have nothing in my history with that poster that sticks out to me.To me, it's a body of work thing when I see a comment like that.

By the way "body of work"? Are you Fran McCaffrey?
That explains it. I saw that thread title and didn't even open it.Most recent work is a trollish thread about not being able to sell his tickets this year.

Anyone who disagrees with this care to elaborate? I’m not saying Babb should lose his starting spot. Just that it’d be pretty weird for LW to lose a starting spot again when a guy comes back from injury, especially if we play well, as he (LW) still hasn’t up till now.Going to be really interesting what happens with the starting lineup in subsequent games assuming Babb is back. Would be pretty bold to pull LW back out of the lineup.

I've been scared of NWB's tendonitis flairing up this whole year. A few days of rest won't be the worst thing for him to finish out the year. #bewell
I guess it depends on how the team plays without NWB in the starting lineup. They've been so up and down all year that if they finally catch fire with LW in the starting lineup and stay hot then it'll be pretty tough to justify moving him back to the sixth man role.
And it wouldn't be the worst thing. NWB might thrive in a sixth man role. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I think "body of work" comes from other fields such as art, literature and music rather than sports. The way we adopt sporting terminology to other fields is funny sometimes.
"Does this team deserve to be in the NCAA tournament?"
"Well, when you look at the body of work..."
"Does this guy or gal deserve a promotion?"
"Well, when you look at the body of work..."
"Is this annoying zit of a poster a troll?"
"Well, when you look at the body of work..."
I agree with you to be optimistic.
Having seen the team try to run offense the past two seasons without Nick running the point, however, I can only assume our efficiency is going to drop.
Things are noticeably more fluid with him out there.
He is not Monté Morris, but he is an above-average college PG with good size. Nick is like "Mario" in a multiplayer Nintendo game -- does not do anything spectacular, but no reason weaknesses as a player. I think we still win in Morgantown, but we need him back soon.

You mean when he wasn't playing injured?
To me it is pretty simple: the worst lineup (of all most common ISU lineups) is the Babb-less lineup of Shayok, Tyrese, Talen, Jacobson, & Lindell with an efficiency margin of -0.255.Anyone who disagrees with this care to elaborate? Anyone else think WVU may go back to their old ways of high pressure b-ball if NWB is out? The other guards will need to take better care of the rock, or turnovers could be an issue. We will need THT, LW, and a Shayok to have more controlled drives to the basket. WVU hardly pressured us at all in the earlier game compared to past seasons. It was kind of weird to watch them not hacking our guys as much.
I will believe it when I see him in the gameLard will play so that's a plus
