We convinced one of my female co-workers whose family are huge Drake supporters that Keno Davis was holding a press conference at 11:30 this morning to announce that he was leaving to coach Minnesota. Another guy in the office even wrote-up a fake AP article. Unfortunately, she called her husband who told her it was an April fools joke before we got the use the article. Now we get the spend the rest of the day dealing with her various ways to get us with an April fools.

I've had some fun with a couple of coworkers in the office....

*tape covering the microphone on the phone
*tape holding down the release button hook on the phone
*zip tie the phone cord together
*sticky note on the underside of an optical mouse (coworker thought I unplugged it and went underneath his desk)
*ergonomic changes to chairs, including zip tying the height adjuster to the arm rest
*changing the screen saver to a marquee that says (APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!!!) on my bosses computer to make him aware of possible pranks (but there are none)

I've got a few more that haven't been done yet...

I wedged some nails into the rollers on a guy's chair so it wouldn't move very easy. Problem is I got caught while installing the last one.

Man, you'd think it was bad enough to be confined to a wheelchair, but then to have people doing things like this to you...

I teach in the Community College system down here in Arizona. Someone from our district office sent out an email to all faculty about a new plan where students that have extra percentage points above 90% can "donate" them to other students who need them to improve their grades. This was to promote a cooperative atmosphere and help with retention. It took me a couple seconds before I realized it's 4/1, but several faculty replied with angry emails about this new program. There's nothing funnier (or easier) than getting a rise out of indignant faculty members.

Over the weekend, we had a 'high school stereotypes' party where one girl was dressed as a pregnant teen, whom my roommate took a picture with. He then e-mailed that to his dad today along with a message saying "people make mistakes and you should come to ames sometime soon so we can talk"

his dad replied in a most caring and consoling 3 page reply telling my roommate that everything was ok... he hasn't heard back from his dad since revealing it was a prank

I work at a school. Another teacher and I have an ongoing prank with a resource teacher. We take carrots from the salad bar and put them in her coffee mugs, plants, pencil holders etc. Last night we snuck in and filled her whole top drawer with baby carrots. We also hung big carrots fron strings from her ceiling. To top it off we made an 8 foot long carrot (3D) out of paper, and hung it above her desk. We had a 7:30 AM staff meeting this AM so we put signs all over the school saying the meeting had been moved to her room. It was great.
