i heard the tool from Hawkeye Report on local radio talking about how this game is ISU's superbowl. I've gotten used to hearing it from dumb fans, but how is anyone supposed to take your game analysis serious when you think like that?

It's funny it's considered our Super Bowl but yet KF moved their empty trophy case so the players had to walk right by it before the game and put up ISU posters all over their football facilities.

Are you sure that the announcer wasn't saying it was the state of Iowa's super bowl? I get people state that it's ours because we win that more than we win other games. But what most of them don't understand is that they just aren't as good as the rest of our schedule and so that game is much easier in the stretch of our season.

This game is a must win now because we lost to UNI, not because it's Iowa. (Preaching to the choir I know...)

This rivalry has changed a lot. Growing up it was always isu trying to pull off the big upset. Now its trying to avoid the embarrassment of losing to a big 10 bottom feeder.

So this game is really important to me as a fan still, but its so I don't feel so embarrassed

Actually the years we beat Iowa our record was significantly better overall that year than if we lose to them. When we beat Iowa it's because we are better than them. It just comes down to Iowa not being as good as their fans think they are and reach for an excuse.
