I can promise you that the donor money is there for the buyout, I know that very well. In fact, there is more likely a lack of donor money for other things if he is retained.
Big donors hate losing just as much as the rest of us as they look at the money as a sort of investment. They don’t want to feel like they’re continuing to step up and not get reciprocal commitment.
So the threat of not donating in the future if we don't get rid of Prohm. Okay. Of this list.............
COVID budget deficit - $25M
New contract for Campbell and staff is in the works
Pedestrian Bridge going to BOR in February - Cost of $10M was fully funded by 2 $5M gifts; Expect it to be open in Fall of 2022
New RV Parking Lots - going to BOR later in Spring - Another $10M funded by private gifts; Expect it to be open in Fall of 2022
Hilton/Scheman Renovations - TBD
Entertainment District - hope to start up these conversations again soon
.......what well be affected? Are they not going to help cover protocol and restriction deficits if JP retains Prohm? Is Campbell's contract in lieu of Prohm? Is the Hilton/Scheman renovations a "better fire Prohm". Is the entertainment district being held up by Prohm? Are they going to ask for a refund of their gifts on the bridge and the parking lots if Prohm is retained? Do you secretly know of other current/future projects larger than these being held at JP's throat if he doesn't get rid of Prohm?
