That's why there's no way it's Oztelberger. Pollard has too much at stake, it's too much of a risk. If Otz doesn't cut it, people are going to say "Jamie what were you thinking?" - referring to Oztelberger's mediocre record.
He has to hire someone with a proven resume, someone in demand, so if it doesn't work out, Pollard can still say he hired a hot name. Just like the Chizik hire.
How do you know that JP isn't looking to retire in 4-5 years? Do you thinks he gives a rats rear end if TJ doesn't make good in that time? He has absolutely nothing to lose by hiring his friend.
