He mentioned he added some functionality to convert the links between the two versions

I am a SEO expert that specializes in hipster SEO. While all the lemmings try and get you on the first page of Google, I will get CF on the 7th page of Bing. Do the hipster thing and pick cloneu.

I have never once seen an SEO project worth the price paid.

I will say that I have had a big change in site traffic and find-ability since doing even basic SEO measures on my own webpage. But I don't know that I'd pay a great deal for it.

I'm a web developer, but unfortunately SEO (a.k.a. dealing with Google's search rules) is not something in which I'm well-versed. Given a little time I'm sure I could figure it out, but that's probably not what you're looking for.
