Isn't it a little odd that they don't include his age in the story? I thought that was pretty much the norm.

WHO story says Ballard, Iowa. It’s a school district name and creek but I don’t think it is a town.

Ballard is in Huxley, just south of Ames. The district includes Kelley, Slater, Cambridge & Huxley. JHS/HS is in Huxley, elemetary are in Cambridge & Slater.

Edit - awd beat me to it, but left out Kelley. Used to be an elem there too. It's where my kids went.

Generally, there is not cameras in the classrooms or offices, only in the hallways. So, I doubt if there would be any video of them unless they were doing something in one of those areas or common areas like the lunchroom, gym or study hall room.

Best guess is they have them on camera entering and leaving together into a classroom/bathroom where there would be no good explanation for both of them to be there alone at the same time.
