Iowa Law is really interesting. A law came out around 2012 saying that if you are an employee of the district at any capacity, you can not date/talk/have any romantic relationships with any students in said district, which makes sense…

The controversial part is if you are a Sophomore when you start dating a Freshman and make it for three years, then decide to go back your first year of college to help as an assistant football coach, you have to make the choice between your Senior significant other or coaching despite a prior legal relationship.
So what are you going to do? Coach or stand by your gal? ;)

Why most schools I know will avoid having a coach that is less than two years out of HS no matter how short of coaches they are.

Gotta feel for Chayce.
She looks a lot different with makeup on.

Having a hard time getting outraged over this one. My guess is someone (boyfriend or the 17-year-old or the 17-year old's girlfriend) got mad and caused a scene or turned her in. This is just a matter of the written law and not anyone getting hurt physically or mentally.

Kind of tough to teach students if you can't talk to them.

:p:D

I went to Catholic school so we didn’t have much of this. Although a guy in my older brother’s class of ‘85 moved in with the art teacher his senior year and no one said anything about it. She was unattractive and probably around 30. But he was a quirky dude, drove around in a 1950s era truck and was a Beatles fanatic. Times have changed.

That you know of.

This sort of thing can happen anywhere.
