Im in the same boat. I almost think it's worse for my body in July and August to come home to anything less than 70. I finally turned mine on the other day for the year and was absolutely freezing at 73. If it wasn't for the humidity I almost think I could have held off another month. It's been swampy as hell here the last few weeks.I work outside during the days. Anything under 76 almost puts me in shock when I go home.
We pay around $80 mo for electric. Well worth it to me to be comfortable.Sounds like an expensive summer.
Would have guessed a lot more even if that's the year round average that's cheap. We pay around $80 mo for electric. Well worth it to me to be comfortable.
Yes that’s budget billing.Would have guessed a lot more even if that's the year round average that's cheap.
Keep the fan on. We have a two story and open more registers upstairs and close some downstairs In the summer. Reverse in the winter. Works well to normalize the temp between the two levels.74. Split level home; downstairs a freezer, upstairs a sweat shop
Sounds like one if those peak use plans that is pretty common in TX didn't realize Ca used it also. The levels of cheap ba$tard I go to maxing out my time of use scale is impressive or pathetic depending on one's point of view.
When electricity is practically free we are going ice box, when it's $0.21 KWH we are going sweat box with ceiling fans if we have to for a few hours.
Close to us, we are 68 in the winter (daytime), 64 winter (nights)74 in the summer
66 in the winter
I set it at 76 when I use the air conditioner. I set it at 72 when the furnace is on over the winter. Temperate climate for me.Finally broke down this week to flip the AC on. But that has created the annual household discussion around what’s the right temperature to set day and night. Need CF to crowd source my thermostat settings for me.
