Can you imagine CMC recruiting at a blue blood? Easier to recruit and a 3-4 million/yr raise concerns me.

Raise season ticket price $100 per seat for those of us that have season tickets, for the non season tickets do the same. Over the length of a season its about $15 bucks more per game. I know I would be willing to pay an extra $400 a year for my tickets to keep coach Campbell and his staff at ISU.

My view, for what it’s worth. CMC is staying put. He is happy here and things will get easier. Now the 4 and 5 star kids are getting interested. His family likes it here and he is all about family. His mentor from Mount Union had plenty of offers for “better “ jobs. Stayed put. He is a good, honest and loyal man. He is in the position where a couple bad years will not have the fans scream for his head. Savor it. Enjoy it. I may be wrong.

Shockingly all I've seen so far is Billy Napier and Hugh Freeze for them
The top rumor I’ve seen is Mario Cristobal to Auburn, I’m surprised he’d leave Oregon for Auburn though. Seems like it’s not a huge step up.

Generally speaking I think Auburn will be tougher than they think to get their guy. Maybe not quite like the Tennessee disaster but close. I get the sense that Malzahn is “coach’s coach” that is well respected. He did pretty well there, and they have a Natty in large part due to his work as an OC.

The strength of Auburn job totally depends on how long Saban plans to continue to coach at Alabama. He was born in 1951 and will be 70 next fall. I could see him setting the all time records for winning national championships in the next 3 years and then walking away. I doubt that Dabo will be leaving Clemson to return home to Alabama.
So the Auburn job may not be as hopeless as some think it is.

Man, I don't know that Auburn is that good of a job. They've had good years recently, but they are held to the standard of the best dynasty of all time. Yeah, the money is good and recruiting is easier. But when you can get fired for averaging 9-3/8-4, that's a tough gig. Personally, I'd could handle getting fired and getting paid for years to do nothing, but most coaches aren't built like that. They despise the "stain" of being a failure. That's why guys like Gus will take a lesser job vs sitting on his laurels.

My guess... From a UT perspective they would look at his record versus OU and rule him out. That's their biggest rival and if he can't get the job done even occasionally they don't want him.
Also, Gundy is probably the biggest loose cannon in the Big 12. You can get away with that in Stillwater but there is no way he gets away with that in Austin. Can you imagine him telling a big oil or cattle UT donor to **** off because he didn't like them telling him who he should recruit or who he should play? You have to smile and thank them for the input to preserve those donations but Gundy clearly isn't wired to do that.

I can't imagine that the Texas AD doesn't see that and have concerns.
