Nobody's going to care about scholarships if they leave the NCAA because nobody's going to care about the education aspect of it.
If this so called "super conference" is formed and starts throwing the rule book out the window (academic requirements, scholarship limits, etc.) what's to keep the rest of the current NCAA from telling them "take a hike?" Everyone else could have seasons where they refuse to schedule against the "supers" and have their own national championship and bowl matchups. That would actually be fun to watch the "supers" squirm.
