LOL, talk about twisting things. Hawk fans don't say top 10 finishes are average for them.

CMC has finished in the top 25 1 time, and will make that 2 times next year. Twins saying ISU is going to be competing for RSCC and Big12 Championships every year under CMC will require a top 10-15 finish every year. That ain't happening, he knows it, you know it, I know it.
Many Iowa fans said this year for Iowa State was an average year for Iowa

Let me simplify it for you. Do you think there will be a drop-off in production when Purdy, Kolar, and Hall leave? Or do you just reload like OU, Alabama, and Ohio St.

No, because they are teams full of 5 star kids and reload with more 5 star kids. Iowa state is a team of 3 start kids and will reload with more 3 star kids. So apples to oranges

What do you think contending for RSCC means then? You aren't doing that with 8 win seasons in a normal year. You need to be 10+ wins in a normal year to be contending for RSCC. So you think ISU wins 10 games a year while CMC is here, that is what you said.
You're an absolute idiot. Having an overall record of 10+ wins has nothing to do with conference standings. You can lose every OOC game and still contend. Contending every year would be at least finishing no worse than 3rd place every year, imo, in a round robin type schedule like the Big12 plays. The average in-conference record for the 3rd place team going back to 2014 has ben 6.2 wins. That is very doable every year. Sorry to ruin your garbage narrative

Saying I think we'll contend for both conference championships as long as Campbell is here does not equal turning into Oklahoma lol
Is there another team in the conference who regularly contends for the conference championship?

I don’t think he has any clue what he is talking about. He thinks an 8-1 record is not contending for the regular season title is very odd.

I get that ISU fans have no idea historically what a team looks like that is contending for a RSCC. For the Big12 in a non pandemic year (yes you lost 2 non conference games) here are the # of wins for the top 2 teams:

'19: 12 and 11
'18: 12 & 10
'17: 12 & 11
'16: 11 & 10
'15: 11 & 11
'14: 12 & 11

I will say it again, if you are winning 8 games a year in a non pandemic year, you will not be contending for a Championship game.

So you are only going to play conference games going forward? Even with Campbell doing his normal 2-1 in non-conference games you would have 10 wins.

No, nobody else will ever be that team, unless Texas rises up. ISU fans thinking they will contend for the Big12 Championship every year is just dumb.
It would be like Iowa fans expecting their basketball team to be top ten next year and every year going forward.

Exactly. Iowa will be right back to what they have been after this year in Basketball. ISU will be right back to what they had been after the '21 season as well.

And there is nothing wrong with Campbell winning 7 or 8 games a year. It is actually really hard to do on a consistent basis at Iowa or ISU.

Yep, if your down years are 7/8 wins and your good years are 10+ wins, that is pretty good. It is tough to move past that and win 10 games most years like say a Wisconsin's when you don't have a blue blood background, or some naturally great recruiting base.

Campbell wins 7 or 8 games 3 years in a row going into this year. Campbell wins a NY6 bowl and Iowa fans "you've only had one good season"

Steve Prohm is more accomplished than Fran. Lol stop it
the program trajectory has been in steady decline since Prohm took over. That's not even arguable. One would tend to think it has bottomed out this year. Only 1 way for it to go at this point.
