That was some amazing vitriol, it was awesome. I'd put it top 3 in most hate shown to a single opposing player.

1. Pierre Pierce (no means no, he's a rapist, etc)
2. David Harrison's senior year
3. Adam Haluska's constant boo party

I'm sure there's probably been worse but it was probably before my time.
Mitch McGary got it pretty good after he appeared to step on Ejim.

Whaaaaaaaaat? I was too young to really remember it at the time so I guess I never understood the hatred. Actually a great guy from a great family.

It's an inside joke. Apparently some people think I'm from Carroll because someone from there has "CYTWINS" plates

Pod won't play on my computer. Anybody have some highlights?

It's 90 minutes long. First 20 minutes are about HS track. He was a 9 time state champ.

Talked some about HS basketball and why they never made it to state.

Talked about signing with ISU even though he was a die hard Iowa fan. In HS, had an open invitation from Eustachy to come play/workout at ISU whenever he wanted so played a lot with ISU players.... 60 miles from home, really liked assistants so signed with ISU. Liked playing and going to school there.

After Eustachy's problems he was on committee to search for a new coach. Felt that Morgan was hired to keep recruits and might be gone in 2 years. Didn't like all of the turmoil or the idea of possibly playing for 3 different coaches so looked to transfer. Wanted to stay close to home so considered Creighton but really liked Iowa. Knew a lot of the Iowa players from HS days. Knew it would be rough coming back to Hilton. Not one bad thing to say about the school or even Eustachy.

Alford taught him more about the game, Eustachy taught toughness.

Talked a lot about his years at Iowa.

Talked about getting drafted and how injuries at the worst times derailed his pro career. Played in Israel until injured again. Turned down an offer to play in Czech republic due to young family.

I was a big Adam Haluska fan during his one year at ISU. And I was disappointed when he transferred to Iowa -- I was in the second row of the student section in 2005 booing him mercilously during that CyHawk game. But, man, some of the hate towards him here... It was 15 years ago, let it go. By all accounts, Haluska is a great guy. Enjoyed listening to this interview.

Awesome guy, great family friend. Lived down the street from his family's house when I was born, we moved a neighborhood over, and he moved in down the street from my current house in between playing in Israel and hanging it up. Nothing but class every time I've talked to him. Really humble guy
