Name: Jason

Age: 33

Residence: Ankeny; I'm married with a 4 year old son and very active in the DSM Elks.

hometown: Red Oak & Shenandoah

Work: South of downtown DSM

Why i'm on a Cylone board: Love football, love hearing what fans of other Big 12 schools are saying about their team. I didn't attemp to flame and/or troll with my recent posts and if I came across as so, i'm sorry.

I would love to start from scratch and if you guys have any questions regarding this years Husker team, feel free to fire away. As I said, I love to talk football and cann't wait for Aug. 31.

Husker board I hang out on: www.bigredboard.com (In the event you decide to lurk, i'm Ankeny Husker Freak), the main Husker forum is open to anyone, but to see the very active college forum, you need to register.

Dude, that was uncalled for. Do you know how likely it is a Hawkeye fan lives closer to you than Garn does? I'm sure you're not going around lynching them (or it'da been in the DSM Register :p )

One of the good things about forums like this are the one or two "other team fans" that'll end up dropping in. And, not including trolls/flamers, they're good to have around cause (as Garn even offered) they'll give you info on their teams.

Nice to have you around Garn

Well this website isn't in Southwest Iowa...it's global. It's no secret garn has ruffled a few feathers. I think (or hope) he has a better understanding now as to what this board is about.

As long as he's not crossing a line, he's as welcome here as anyone else.

Garn91:

How many Big Red fans do you expect to see in Ames for the game?

Hard to say, depends on how many ISU fans surrender their tickets for that game. When Nebraska played at Notre Dame back in 2000, that's why ND's stadium was a sea of red, Irish fans were selling their tickets.

I've heard that USC has sold upwards of 30,000 tickets to Nebraska fans for the Nebraska/USC game next month. In fact, USC had to shut off ticket sales to non season ticke holders because Husker fans were snatching up tickets left and right for the upcoming game.

Garn, I'm from Shenandoah. Graduated class of 2005. Cool to see hometown people on the site, regardless of who they root for. I welcome you here, I have actually enjoyed hearing about your Huskers and their updates, mostly because I know that will be a deciding game in ISU's schedule this year. I'm not saying I want to hear more about NU than ISU in ANY means, but trying to find some insight on important opponents is always useful.

I would rather deal with a Husker fan on a bad day than deal with an EIU Pukeye fan on a good day, even if they are our main obstacle to the Big North Championship. All fan bases have their idiots, but in Iowa's case, they are the majority. Besides Garn, from all the posts I have read, has been respectfull and doesn't come on our message board using false pretenses like other fans have. I have no problem with Garn
