My dogs purpose is to retrieve dead things (ducks and geese mainly) and when she can't do that anymore she will go out into a field, be placed in a hole, and shot in the head just like those who came before her.

See, a dog is just another animal - a tool - an ends to a mean and when the tool no longer does what it is supposed to do - well, goodbye.

They are not people. I wish people would get as worked up about the human abuse and neglect that is around as they do about a damn dog.

"You serious, Clark?" I know far more people that deserve to die than I do animals. Hopefully someone returns the favor when it comes time for your old useless a**.

Thanks. I just had to have one of my dogs euthanized a few weeks ago and I thought I was done crying, but evidently not.

Thanks for the teary eyes at work, Chris.

Got my first dog 2 years ago (boxer), before getting her we got great advice from other dog owners, and really thought we did our homework on dog ownership. Not once did we think about, nor did anyone mention the day we would have to let her go.

That will not be a good day / week / year in our household. We are very attached

This will be about as well received as hammer to the face.

Sorry for your loss. This story really hits home for me because while the pet in our home is a cat, she is getting old and not sure how much longer she has.

I think it is amusing that you think your dog is the tool.

Very touching. Had to put our 11 year old Golden Retriever down a few years ago. I'll remember petting her for the last time for the rest of my life. Can't wait to get a Golden Retriever after I graduate college! RIP Sadie.

Needless to say, you have a dog for the wrong reasons.

Well, ya better go shoot the b!+ch, then, because she clearly has not retreived your dead soul.

The first sentence in this quote is the only part of your drivel that I will agree with. Yes, a dog is an animal, but just like a child, almost exclusively, there are no bad dogs, only bad owners and parents.

Getting worked up over animal abuse and neglect is not mutually exclusive to getting worked up over human neglect and abuse. I sense a raw nerve in that statement, and if I'm correct, I apologize for whatever it might have been. Look at the story of the lady who strapped a gas can in the car seat and had the kid sitting on the seat...I'm sure there was just as much outrage on that.

You sir dont deserve to have a dog, nor does the dog deserve to have you as its owner. You are a sick man and have no clue what dogs are here for. How bout you get off your dead *** and retrieve your own bird.

I'm actually fairly certain it is illegal to euthanize your own dog by shooting it, even in Texas. May have been common practice a while ago, but today I'm almost certain you are required to take it to a vet or face animal cruelty charges.
